Admission Requirements

Admissions Requirements

Digbeth College is an academically selective yet inclusive learning community. Our guiding principle for student admission is whether a student will benefit from the style and standard of education we provide.

Admissions Criteria

Our key admissions criteria are to:

  • Identify students who demonstrate strong academic potential and a genuine passion for learning

  • Welcome students who will actively contribute to the College’s vibrant and diverse community

  • Treat every applicant with fairness, professionalism, and respect

Application Process

The number of available places varies each year, and competition is strong. We recommend applying early, as admissions operate on a rolling basis.

  1. Initial Contact
Complete our online enquiry form, call us on 07481 690398, or email admissions@digbethcollege.com

  2. Principal’s Review
The Principal will review the applicant’s academic background and supporting information to determine whether an interview should be arranged. Additional information may be requested to ensure a full and fair evaluation.

  3. Interview
The interview allows us to assess the applicant’s academic ability, personal qualities, career aspirations, attitude towards learning, and potential to make a positive contribution to College life.

  4. Post-Interview Offer
If the interview is successful, the College will issue a formal offer. This may be conditional upon receiving satisfactory references and, where relevant, achieving specific grades in forthcoming GCSE or equivalent examinations.

  5. Confirming a Place
To secure a place, applicants must return the completed Admission Forms along with the Registration Fee and Academic Deposit.
